I'm playing with it, and if it's good, I'll post the recipe I come up with for dinner on Wednesday! :-)Chef Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08909162992180079065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8885026110258112725.post-33232448801044350212011-03-14T16:30:20.768-07:002011-03-14T16:30:20.768-07:00Crystal - I'm just like you! I have freezers, cupboards, a pantry, and a refrigerator full of all kinds of good food ingredients, and I look at it and think "there is nothing to eat in this house!" And then I make a run to the store for more ingredients to add to what I already have at home!

But now, I'm sticking to this self-imposed budget, so I can't do that. I have to use what I already have.

You pose a great question though about how to build a menu plan...I think that will be an upcoming post in the near future!Chef Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08909162992180079065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8885026110258112725.post-7959444450781926182011-03-14T11:48:10.744-07:002011-03-14T11:48:10.744-07:00I have a friend who would probably like to see the...I have a friend who would probably like to see the coconut flour pancake recipe.PCJAEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15179101720483328028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8885026110258112725.post-34841655074052261552011-03-14T11:37:00.448-07:002011-03-14T11:37:00.448-07:00I would love the sausage recipe and the jerky reci...I would love the sausage recipe and the jerky recipe. I also want to know how you do the skirt steak thing. Not a fan of skirt steak, but I don't know what I'm doing with it.PCJAEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15179101720483328028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8885026110258112725.post-88275665871201382102011-03-14T08:07:34.385-07:002011-03-14T08:07:34.385-07:00You have a great looking menu!

For example, in the freezer, we have a whole hog, 1/4 side of beef, lots of frozen veggies. On the shelves, we have tomatoes, green beans, salsa, spaghetti sauce, chili sauce, pizza sauce, peaches, pears, strawberry jam, applesauce and so much more that we put up last summer. We have lots of chickens for eggs. And with all of this, I'm at a loss as to what to feed my family.

Where do you get inspiration for your meals? I get tired of feeding them the same thing all the time. Or looking in the cabinet/fridge/freezer at 4:00 and thinking, WHAT are we going to eat? I love to cook and have lots of amazing tools and wonderful food to use. I just don't know how to plan for upcoming meals. Oh, and I like the food that I make to be pleasing to the eyes and the palette. My hubby just eats because his belly is growling. LOL! So he is no source of inspiration. I ask what he wants - bacon & eggs & burgers (not all together). Me, I want fancy sauces and quiche and stuff like that.

Thanks for listening to me ramble. I love reading your posts! Keep up the great work!Crystalhttp://www.littlewhiteshed.netnoreply@blogger.com
